Spring thoughts....

I dreamed of a thousand red carnations last night
their stems spread out like arms in front of your feet
lifting you on their delicate sent
above the clouds to heaven as an offering
to the god of love and the kings of lust
their pyre consuming me in desire
a thousand times, in one lifetime

I dreamed of sweet coffee streaming from ancient urns
pouring into venerated bowls of porcelaine
their lips were stained from purpose, handles cracked with time
ancient hands making them what they have become
I can still taste the lips that caressed its rim
their warmth like a desert oasis
a thousand times, in one lifetime

And if my dreams should die an early death
and a thousand crows consume my flesh
the lasting words upon my lips
will be the story of your passion
and the stars in the sky will tell the story
their heat traveling from millinea only to tell
of a thousand times, in one lifetime
in one lifetime
I loved you till the end

I kissed her with the breath of a hundred gods
but her soul was spent too many times
on too many fools
for even I to make a difference.

Just a few thoughts.....

This was absolutely beautiful! You're way too talented for a guy your age! You should be writing books or get started on a chapbook. Loved this!

Thanks all! I think that I just might insert this into a break before a big(ish) solo in a song.

Dear Webmaster,

I recently discovered your page here:

http://www.geoffreyhirschfeld.blogspot.com/

I wanted to let you know that the “ Betty on the Beach” link on your site points to a website (bettyonthebeach.blogspot.com) that is no longer working.

Would you please consider replacing it with a link to my website called SportsMemorabilia.com? We have an extensive collection of autographed and unsigned memorabilia for all your favorite athletes and teams.

If you think it would be of use to your visitors, would you please consider adding a link to my website on your page.

Here is the HTML link you could add:

" http://www.sportsmemorabilia.com/ " SportsMemorabilia.com - a one-stop shop for sports memorabilia fans!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Frank
